Jellifish ("the App", "we", "us") is developed by Sarkar Tech Industries. This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and how it is stored, for anyone who creates an account or otherwise uses the App.
If you submit a copyright infringement claim through the App, we additionally collect the information you provide in that form: your name, email, phone number, company/organization name (if applicable), a reference to your authorization to act (e.g. power of attorney or contract number), details of the original work, the allegedly infringing content, and your signature. This information is used only to review and act on the claim, and is visible to our moderation team.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or SMS/call data. The App does not request access to these on your device.
Games inside the App (such as Tic-Tac-Toe) run entirely on your device and do not send any data to our servers or collect any information about you.
One-to-one chat messages in Jellifish are protected with end-to-end encryption: each device generates its own private key that never leaves the device, and messages are encrypted so that only the sender and recipient can read them. Because of this, we do not have the technical ability to read the contents of your private messages, and message content is not visible to us even on our own servers.
Metadata needed to deliver messages (who a message is sent to, timestamps, delivery/read status) is processed to make the chat feature work.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content or messages for advertising.
| Data | Stored with |
|---|---|
| Account, profile, posts, chats, reports (text/metadata) | Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication) |
| Photos and videos | Cloudflare (R2 storage) |
| Push notification delivery | Google Firebase Cloud Messaging |
| Song search terms, when you attach music to a post/reel/story | Apple (iTunes Search API) |
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and compliance standards, and do not use your content for their own purposes. When you search for a song to attach to a post, your search term is sent to Apple's iTunes Search API to look up matching songs — no other personal information is sent with it.
To request deletion of your data or ask questions about this policy, contact us using the details below.
Jellifish is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
You are solely responsible for the content you post, send, or share through the App, and for ensuring it complies with applicable law, our community standards, and does not infringe anyone else's rights. Please post responsibly.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and at any time, to review, moderate, remove, or restrict access to any post, reel, story, message, or other content — with or without prior notice — if we believe it violates this policy, our community standards, or applicable law. This includes content flagged through the in-app report or copyright claim tools, as well as content we identify ourselves.
We are not liable for user-generated content, including defamatory, infringing, offensive, or unlawful content posted or sent by any user. Any dispute regarding content posted by another user is between you and that user.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data — including end-to-end encryption for direct messages and industry-standard infrastructure from Google Firebase and Cloudflare — no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security against every possible threat.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sarkar Tech Industries, its owners, and the developers of Jellifish shall not be held liable for any data breach, unauthorized access, loss of data, service interruption, or other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of the App — including, without limitation, incidents caused by third-party service providers, circumstances outside our reasonable control, or actions or content of any user or third party. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount, if any, you have paid us to use the App in the preceding twelve months.
By creating an account or otherwise using Jellifish, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sarkar Tech Industries, its owners, and the developers of Jellifish from any claim, demand, loss, or damage — including reasonable legal fees — made by any third party arising out of or related to: your use of the App, content you post or send, your violation of this policy, or your violation of any right of another person.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this policy or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, the contact details of the Grievance Officer are provided below. Any complaints or concerns regarding content on the App may be addressed to the Grievance Officer, who will acknowledge and address them as required by law.
We may change, update, or revise this policy at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted, and will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after a change is posted means you accept the updated policy.
When you submit a report or copyright claim, we will review it, but we reserve the right to accept, reject, dismiss, or otherwise act on it at our sole discretion, based on our own review of the content and circumstances. Submitting a report or claim does not guarantee any specific outcome or action.
